Enjoy a breakfast at the hotel before your licensed tour guide takes you to the Egyptian Museum, a popular museum known for its vast collection of Egyptian antiques on two floors. The most intriguing exhibit is the royal treasure of the golden pharaoh Tutankhamen.
Move to the Citadel of Saladin, which used to be the center of the Egyptian government for many centuries. Upon arrival, you will visit the Alabaster mosque of Mohamed Ali, considered a unique reflection of the Ottoman architecture in Egypt, and you will enjoy the Islamic Cairo trips with its several mosques, which are hundreds of years old, and some of them are even older than one thousand years.
Our Coptic Cairo tour will take you to see the Roman fortress of Babylon and the Hanging Church of the Holy Virgin Mary well known as Al Mualaka or the suspended church because it was built above the towers of the fortress. You will also visit the church of the Holy Family, or the Church of St. Sergius, which was built above the crypt inside which the Holy Family stayed for three months. Then we will go to Ben Ezra Synagogue, which, according to tradition, was built on the spot where the basket of baby Moses was found.
We will stop to have a delicious lunch, then we will continue our trips to Khan El Khalili bazaar and explore the walls and gates of medieval Cairo and the old streets dating back to the 10th century.
